Responsibilities

  • Build interactive, responsive user interfaces using Node, React, and Next.js.
  • Develop and optimize web applications for consistent cross-browser and cross-device rendering.
  • Contribute to front-end architecture improvements and create shared visual components across products.
  • Translate business requirements, epics, stories, and technical requirements into features and technical tasks.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Owners, UX, Design, and internal and external business partners.
  • Test and debug applications, track and resolve defects, and apply front-end unit testing techniques.
  • Create front-end coding standards and best practices and review fellow engineers’ work for quality and consistency.
  • Prototype and develop new ideas across the lifecycle from research through release.
  • Provide technical leadership and input on systems design and key technical decisions.
  • Drive programs that improve developer productivity and reduce time to market.
  • Communicate project status and open issues and participate in development communities of practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on UI engineering experience building web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Advanced understanding of JavaScript frameworks and extensive experience with common front-end development tools.
  • Ability to independently learn new technologies and resolve complex problems.
  • Experience building server-side React applications is preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise content management systems and e-commerce or enterprise e-commerce platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with modern web architectures and asynchronous service-to-service communication is preferred.
  • Experience with accessible code and advanced knowledge of WCAG standards.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written communication, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and influence technical decisions by presenting options, risks, and tradeoffs.
  • Ability to use office automation, communication software, organizational tools, and available AI tools.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions with or without supervision.

Benefits

  • The role is based in Bangalore, India.
  • The position works from the office for the initial six months during the probation period, then transitions to a hybrid working model.
  • Regular shift options are 12:00 P.M.–9:00 P.M. IST or 2:00 P.M.–11:00 P.M. IST, with occasional alternate shifts for critical issues or releases/migrations.
