Responsibilities
- Design and build user-facing diagnostic and AI-assisted tooling with React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, and reusable patterns.
- Create interactive visualizations and workflows that make dense diagnostic data easy to understand and investigate.
- Own frontend performance, accessibility, bundle and load characteristics, rendering behavior, and cross-browser quality at scale.
- Extend the APIs and services behind frontend features using Node.js, Java, and SQL.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and partner engineering teams on product vision, interaction decisions, planning, and end-to-end delivery.
- Design and contribute to AI-powered features while evaluating reliability, tool failure modes, and architectural trade-offs.
- Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and maintain strict ownership of code quality, debugging, testing, and production readiness.
- Influence engineering practices through AI code reviews, team guides, review policies, design documentation, and telemetry instrumentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, or an equivalent discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of software engineering experience building modern web applications, with a clear majority focused on frontend work.
- Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, including component and state architecture, performance profiling, and optimization.
- Working proficiency in at least one backend area involving Node.js, Java, or SQL, with experience shipping end-to-end features.
- Experience building performant data-dense interfaces such as dashboards, tables, charts, or exploratory tools.
- Strong interaction design and usability judgment, with the ability to partner with designers as a peer.
- Experience designing, shipping, or contributing to AI-powered features or LLM-integrated user experiences.
- Practical fluency with AI-assisted development tools and frameworks for tool selection, risk mitigation, and quality ownership.
- Track record of influencing team practices through code reviews, team guides, or updated pull-request standards.
- Knowledge of unit and component testing, code reviews, design documentation, telemetry instrumentation, and core software engineering practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with design systems or shared component libraries, WCAG accessibility standards, developer tools, observability, or diagnostic products.
