Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade full-stack applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed applications using Scala, Java, and modern data-processing frameworks.
- Architect and build microservices-based solutions using Java, Scala, and Spring Boot, Akka, or equivalent frameworks.
- Develop and integrate real-time data-processing pipelines using Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Design scalable and resilient systems on Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor.ai, Replit, and GitHub Copilot.
- Ensure coding, security, performance, cloud-native, and DevOps best practices.
- Mentor and manage a team of developers and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Participate in client discussions, requirements gathering, and solution design.
- Drive Agile delivery practices across the team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong mandatory experience developing with Java and Scala, including distributed data-intensive applications using Scala.
- Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, backend development, functional programming, and reactive programming.
- Expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL; MongoDB and Cassandra are preferred.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native services, CI/CD, and DevOps tools.
- Hands-on exposure to AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot, Replit, or equivalent.
- Frontend experience with Angular or React is preferred.
- Experience with scalable system design and performance optimization is preferred.
- Strong leadership, team management, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Client-facing experience and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Prior experience in FSO, banking, or capital markets and understanding of financial systems, regulatory requirements, and domain workflows are preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
