Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Python and Angular.
- Develop secure RESTful APIs and backend services using Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Build responsive, reusable Angular front-end applications and integrate them with REST APIs.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity and related DevOps tooling.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product owners, architects, and stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
- Support production deployments and resolve performance, security, and operational issues.
- Drive automation across development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and platform engineering teams on cloud-native deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise application development.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Python development experience and 5 years of Angular development experience.
- At least 3 years of DevOps and CI/CD implementation experience, including TeamCity pipelines.
- Experience delivering enterprise applications through multiple complete SDLC lifecycles and working with global delivery teams in Agile environments.
- Strong experience with Flask, Django, or FastAPI; REST APIs; microservices; asynchronous programming; API integrations; authentication; authorization; and SSO.
- Strong Angular experience, preferably Angular 17+, including TypeScript, RxJS, Reactive Forms, Signals, Angular Material, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript ES6+, SPAs, and accessibility standards.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, automated test frameworks, Micro Frontend architecture, and reusable component frameworks.
- Experience with Git, branching strategies, automated code-quality tools, SonarQube, SAST, DAST, and release pipelines across Development, UAT, and Production.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL; SQL querying; and ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy.
- Experience deploying applications to OpenShift, GCP, Azure, or AWS, with hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience.
- Experience or knowledge of message queues, event-driven architecture, streaming platforms, Ansible, Linux/Unix administration, WebSockets, real-time applications, observability, monitoring, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is preferred.
- Financial-services or banking technology experience is advantageous.
