Sr. Software Engineer - B2 Object Storage team

- Design, implement, and maintain B2 and S3-compatible APIs with attention to correctness, performance, and backward compatibility.
- Lead technical design discussions and produce clear design documents.
- Instrument services, develop metrics, define meaningful SLIs/SLOs, and drive reliability improvements.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, determine incident root causes, and identify remediation work.
- Build new features, improve system scalability, and develop internal observability tooling.
Requirements
- 7+ years of server-side Java programming experience.
- Experience developing software for large-scale systems across design, implementation, testing, and rollout.
- Ability to communicate proactively and move work forward in a remote environment.
- Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Gemini, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Cassandra and Vitess experience is a bonus.
- Agile and Scrum experience is a bonus.
