Principal Cyber Security Architect (Remote Eligible, U.S.)

Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive cybersecurity assessments of wind turbine components, SCADA systems, wind farm software, and digital service platforms.
- Guide the interpretation and application of IEC 62443 security controls throughout requirements, design, development, and validation phases.
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing products and features.
- Identify and document vulnerabilities, risks, and non-conformities and recommend remediation actions.
- Collaborate with product development, engineering, projects, services, and R&D teams to integrate security-by-design principles.
- Recommend wind-farm-level security improvements across subsystems and lead development of technologies supporting cybersecurity assessments.
- Review customer-facing documentation, improve internal product security processes and hardening guides, and provide technical guidance for customer inquiries and vulnerability incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of relevant cybersecurity or operational technology experience, including at least 8 years of OT or product cybersecurity experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with product security requirements, regulations, or standards such as the IEC 62443 series is preferred.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and solutions, network cybersecurity, cloud security, secure coding, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and industrial OT environments is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, industrial protocols, product cybersecurity vulnerability response, and cybersecurity inquiries is preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as GICSP, CEH, CCNA, or CISSP and a relevant master’s degree are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong analytical, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
