Responsibilities
- Develop robust backend application services and APIs.
- Design and develop new systems while enhancing existing systems.
- Collaborate as part of an agile engineering team to improve team performance.
- Automate CI/CD processes.
- Monitor and analyze platform reliability and performance and implement improvements.
- Work with open-source technologies including MySQL, PostgreSQL, the ELK Stack, Sentry, Redis, and Git.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience and an interest in running real-world applications at scale.
- Demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software.
- Excellent coding skills and broad knowledge of the Python ecosystem, including NumPy and Pandas.
- Working knowledge of database and messaging technologies such as SQL, Redis, and Kafka.
- Experience with Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Strong problem-solving ability, judgment, attention to detail, and collaborative working style.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent job experience.
- Prior financial-services experience is not required.
