Base Salary

Responsibilities

Collaborate with partners to deploy OlmoEarth models for challenging use cases and identify opportunities to standardize approaches.
Explore novel applications of OlmoEarth models, including new modalities and uses of model embeddings.
Maintain partner communications and coordinate partner needs with machine learning research, engineering, and partnerships teams.
Improve rslearn, OlmoEarth Studio, model adaptation and fine-tuning approaches, application recipes, and user-interface explanations of modeling trade-offs.
Collaborate with researchers to diagnose and resolve model issues that prevent deployment in important applications.
Contribute across OlmoEarth infrastructure, including fine-tuning code, model pretraining, and distributed model training and inference.
Support agent evaluations and development.

At least 2 years of experience deploying machine learning solutions across requirements analysis, model training, and scaled deployment.
Fluency in PyTorch, including debugging training loops and developing and deploying task-specific heads for encoders.
Experience with geospatial toolsets or platforms such as Google Earth Engine, QGIS, or ArcGIS.
Familiarity with remote sensing, Earth observation, or environmental science.
Strong written communication skills, independent judgment, ownership, prioritization, organization, and process-building ability.
Preferred experience includes self-supervised machine learning training methods, particularly for ViT architectures.
Preferred experience includes working in mission-driven or resource-constrained environments and familiarity with technical literature.

Seattle office-based work with on-site requirements varying by position and team.
Some domestic and international travel is likely.
