Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on implementation and architecture of Python frameworks for scalable, resilient, and performant applications.
- Develop solutions aligned with architectural standards and business and technical requirements.
- Drive development for stress testing and regulatory risk projects in the market risk domain.
- Design, develop, secure, and integrate RESTful APIs and distributed applications.
- Manage technical planning, governance, delivery, and ownership of project initiatives.
- Collaborate with Risk, Quants, Front Office, DevOps, and Production Support teams.
- Apply code reviews, software development lifecycle practices, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems and deliver solutions independently in a globally matrixed environment.
Requirements
- 9+ years of hands-on application development experience, primarily with Python.
- Expert-level Python 3.x proficiency and advanced experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, software architecture, and distributed system design.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, advanced SQL, RESTful APIs, and integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems including Tekton, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with Unix-based operating systems, Docker, Kubernetes, Pytest, unittest, and Git.
- Understanding of secure coding, application security principles, OWASP Top 10, and test-driven development practices.
- Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Copilot, Devin, Claude, Gemini, GPT, and agentic AI tools and frameworks.
- Bachelor’s or university degree or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in banking, pricing, or risk domains and CFA or FRM certification are desirable.
- Exposure to Java, C#, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, React, Angular, Vue.js, and relevant cloud or industry certifications is desirable.
- Strong analytical, systems-thinking, communication, prioritization, ownership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
