Responsibilities
- Own research-to-production work across audio/video signal processing and media intelligence.
- Partner with teams to integrate prototypes into production systems.
- Work across the full media pipeline, from encoding to playback.
- Build evaluation frameworks for media platform and codec decisions.
- Design perceptual studies and develop tooling connecting quality metrics to user experience.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to turn research insights into scalable capabilities.
- Help improve evaluation and enhancement of media quality across the platform.
- Drive high-impact initiatives from idea through to measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in applied research and engineering in media technology.
- Deep expertise in audio and/or video with knowledge across both domains.
- Understanding of media systems from backend processing to client-side playback.
- Strong foundations in signal processing and experience with perceptual quality.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with C++ or similar languages.
- Experience running perceptual evaluations or quality benchmarking.
- Ability to build systems that transition from research to real-world impact.
- Effective collaboration across disciplines and clear communication of complex ideas.
- Curiosity, pragmatism, and motivation to solve meaningful problems.
