Responsibilities
- Own the reference architecture for agent identity.
- Lead the hardest and most strategic deployments.
- Raise the technical bar by reviewing architectures and coaching engineers.
- Shape the product roadmap based on synthesized patterns.
- Represent Okta as a technical authority to high-level stakeholders.
- Resolve complex technical and political challenges across accounts.
- Set standards for evaluation and observability metrics.
- Build leverage for the team through reusable modules and tooling.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in shipping production software with a focus on distributed systems and identity.
- Expertise in identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
- Fluency in agent security standards and frameworks like OWASP and NIST.
- Experience with fine-grained authorization methods and policy engines.
- Hands-on experience with AI integrations across major platforms.
- Proven ability to set technical direction and mentor engineers.
- Strong customer-facing skills and credibility with technical and executive audiences.
- High agency and a founder's mindset for building functions.
- Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time.
