Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of customer-specific AI/ML solutions using frameworks and agent platforms.
- Architect and implement enterprise application integrations using Python, JavaScript, APIs, microservices, and related technologies.
- Analyze complex datasets to generate insights and inform product direction.
- Drive AI-augmented workflow automation in customer environments.
- Oversee production deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI solutions.
- Address AI risk assessment, data privacy, GDPR, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and align solutions with business goals and measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in backend software development.
- 5+ years of experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production, including founding or forward-deployed engineering experience in 0-to-1 product development.
- Deep expertise in applied AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages, with experience in APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration.
- Experience solving complex, ambiguous problems and working in rapidly changing environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Experience with AI risk assessment, data privacy, and compliance such as GDPR.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Atlassian Intelligence, Rovo AI, AI-powered Atlassian features, regulated industries, complex production systems at scale, or mentoring and leading engineering teams.
