Responsibilities
- Embed with functional departments to conduct discovery, understand workflows, and identify pain points.
- Scope, design, and build full-stack custom applications using modern frameworks, AI coding assistants, and internal platform APIs.
- Own architecture, development, testing, deployment, training, and handoff through production adoption.
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development and iterate directly with stakeholders.
- Balance scope, speed, and quality while clearly communicating trade-offs.
- Partner with IT, Security, and Data teams to meet data security, compliance, and supportability standards.
- Create reusable patterns, components, and playbooks for future engagements.
- Share field learnings with platform, product, and data teams.
- Measure success through production adoption and measurable business impact.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently design, build, and ship full-stack applications.
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js/JavaScript, or a comparable modern backend language.
- Sufficient frontend development ability to build usable internal tools independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and LLM-based tools.
- Working understanding of APIs, webhooks, data structures, and integration patterns.
- Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders and managing ambiguous requests.
- Ability to operate autonomously amid shifting priorities and explain technical trade-offs.
- Preferred experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, professional services, or startup generalist roles.
- Preferred exposure to enterprise security, compliance, or data governance requirements.
