Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define and drive architecture for an assigned business area, translating business and product priorities into implementable technical designs and delivery-ready features.
- Design systems incorporating AI-enabled capabilities and establish guardrails for safe, effective AI use in applications and workflows.
- Advance AI-assisted development practices, including copilots, code generation, automated testing, agents, reusable AI skills, and intelligent engineering workflows.
- Establish architecture standards, patterns, and design guardrails while guiding reviews and technical decisions across APIs, services, data flows, and platform components.
- Partner with developers and technical leads to oversee implementation, resolve architectural issues, and balance cost, scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, and delivery speed.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, platform, security, data, architecture, and other partner teams to align technical decisions with business outcomes.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and platforms and improve engineering effectiveness through automation, observability, and modern delivery practices.
- Mentor developers and architects and strengthen technical judgment, architecture discipline, and AI-assisted engineering capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience designing and building web, workflow, service, and backend applications, including direct architecture and software design responsibility for one or more teams.
- Significant experience in application and solution architecture, API design, service decomposition, integration patterns, and user-facing or workflow-oriented applications.
- Hands-on experience with modern languages and frameworks such as Java, Golang, and Spring, or comparable technologies, with strong experience building responsive APIs and service-based systems.
- Deep familiarity with microservices, cloud-native architecture, cloud platforms, distributed applications, streaming patterns, and enterprise integration approaches.
- Experience applying AI-assisted development, agent-based workflows, and reusable AI skills to design, coding, testing, and delivery.
- Strong experience across the software development lifecycle, including Agile delivery, CI/CD, DevOps practices, APM, observability, and approaches that improve operational resilience.
- Ability to translate business and regulatory or clinical requirements into technical solutions and evaluate architectural trade-offs.
- Proven technical leadership, consensus-building, mentoring, stakeholder communication, and ability to lead without authority.
- Strong hands-on technical depth, including reviewing implementation details and solving complex technical problems across modern application and platform stacks.
- Ability to work with or without reasonable accommodation and provide a dedicated secure work area, high-speed internet connectivity, and office setup.
