Base Salary
$180k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and integration of complex software components into fully functional systems.
- Document and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
- Drive reliability and efficiency improvements involving availability, performance, scaling, monitoring, and capacity through design and automation.
- Partner with product management to define requirements and acceptance criteria and propose process improvements.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance on scalable, resilient, observable, documented, and well-tested solutions.
- Represent the team in cross-organizational engineering meetings and collaborate with principal engineers and management on scope, design, processes, standards, and estimation.
- Perform technical analysis for modifications to tools, utilities, system structures, and environments.
- Deliver customer-facing solutions, participate in hiring and onboarding, and conduct technical presentations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field, or at least 7 years of equivalent professional experience in enterprise product development.
- Strong development experience in multiple high-level programming languages, with Go and Python highly preferred and Bash scripting required.
- C/C++ or other programming language experience is desired.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts and the OSI model.
- Experience with Linux, Docker, Docker Compose, containerized development workflows, Git, GitLab, and modern integrated development environments such as VS Code and GoLand.
- Experience interfacing with system hardware and firmware interfaces.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI to optimize coding and software development workflows and understanding of multi-agent system paradigms.
- Understanding of secure end-to-end software development life cycle practices.
- Proven ability to guide, mentor, and provide technical leadership to software developers.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
