Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications using clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Lead code reviews and technical delivery while ensuring code quality and sharing engineering knowledge.
- Lead the technical direction of products and domains, owning delivery, application health, engineering standards, and technology assets.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, feedback, and, where applicable, line management for junior software engineers.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and bugs and provide hands-on support for performance tuning and reliability improvements.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes and identify software-development best practices.
- Manage technical debt remediation, custodianship governance activities, task allocation, and delivery priorities.
- Communicate with stakeholders, understand requirements, provide updates, and influence strategic decisions.
- Apply AI concepts and tools to solve routine problems with minimal guidance.
- Drive innovation and contribute to technical communities while keeping current with emerging technology trends.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages and the ability to apply them to complex problems.
- Deep system design expertise and broad technical understanding of the full ecosystem supporting the relevant domain.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, logic, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of security principles and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, assess performance, and deliver constructive feedback.
- Ability to manage tasks and priorities effectively and communicate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to apply traditional and agile best practices to plan, prioritize, and deliver work efficiently.
