Base Salary
$89k - $134k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with AI agents and tools to build, test, and deploy software across the software development lifecycle.
- Experiment with prompt engineering and share effective AI tool usage practices with the team.
- Design and implement software features and system components in collaboration with product managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Develop unit and system tests, follow secure coding practices, and participate in code reviews.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing and new application features.
- Use logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and monitoring tools to assess system health and diagnose issues.
- Estimate technical effort, resources, timelines, and expected outcomes for assigned work.
- Document processes and best practices and communicate status, challenges, and risks to stakeholders.
- Own assigned work through completion with minimal oversight while raising blockers and contributing to shared team goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and two years of experience in a related field, or a master’s degree with up to two years of experience, or 14 years of related experience.
- Consistent and effective use of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor across the software development lifecycle.
- Working proficiency across the supported full stack, including technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, React, and SQL or relational data modeling.
- Working knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, and collaborative development practices.
- Working knowledge of logging, metrics, monitoring tools, dashboards, and alerts such as New Relic.
- Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex issues with limited guidance and explain technical tradeoffs and status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Spec Driven Development experience is preferred.
