Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy multi-step agents that detect regressions, bisect commits, propose fixes, and generate or review code.
  • Develop internal agent skills, harnesses, and services that improve engineering productivity.
  • Build real-time telemetry and event-processing capabilities at streaming scale under device CPU and memory constraints.
  • Solve agent problems involving physical feedback, device fleets, and hardware-in-the-loop signals.
  • Own features end-to-end across the Roku OS platform layer, applications and UI, and cloud integration.
  • Participate in an engineering interview exercise using AI tools on an unfamiliar codebase.

Requirements

  • Have up to 4/6 years of professional engineering experience since completing studies.
  • Have strong systems or infrastructure fundamentals in areas such as real-time data, telemetry, distributed systems, platforms, or devices.
  • Have built and shipped a multi-step agentic project that other people use.
  • Explain an accountable approach to reviewing and governing code generated or modified by AI agents.
  • Articulate where agents are not yet adequate and why.
  • Already have the right to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
