Base Salary
$320k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement hardened OS configurations for AI workloads across diverse hardware platforms.
- Reduce kernelspace and userspace attack surfaces and develop kernel security policies with SELinux, AppArmor, custom Linux Security Modules, and runtime enforcement.
- Implement full-disk encryption, OS-level attestation, integrity monitoring, secure boot, trusted execution environments, and secure OS update mechanisms.
- Develop and maintain security infrastructure, configuration-management tooling, and compliance verification for AI research and production environments.
- Patch kernels and custom kernel modules, design privilege separation and mandatory access controls, and support kernel-level workload isolation with container teams.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for operating-system security designs and questions.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Linux internals, kernel subsystems, and security frameworks including SELinux, AppArmor, and seccomp.
- Experience with kernel hardening, exploit mitigation, eBPF security monitoring and enforcement, virtualization and containerization security, and OS vulnerability remediation.
- Strong programming skills in C and systems programming languages.
- Experience with security-focused Linux distributions.
- Preferred: 5+ years of operating-systems security or kernel-development experience, Linux kernel contributions, real-time or embedded operating systems, hardware security integration, secure boot, confidential computing, SEV, TDX, SGX, vulnerability research, exploit development, fuzzing, formal methods, TPM, HSM, or secure enclaves.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
