Responsibilities
- Ship new features in collaboration with engineering peers and the product team.
- Maintain and improve existing software systems.
- Solve difficult engineering problems supporting customers’ scientific workflows.
- Contribute to technical excellence through hands-on implementation and project leadership.
- Identify problems and determine effective implementation approaches.
- Evaluate and adopt AI-enabled development workflows and share them with peers.
- Mentor and educate other engineers.
Requirements
- Deep backend engineering and system design experience, including building systems at scale.
- Strong judgment and commitment to code quality.
- Ability to identify problems, take ownership, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, especially in a remote setting.
- Ability to use, evaluate, and teach modern AI tooling and develop opinions on effective AI products.
- Ability to mentor and empower other engineers.
- Ability to participate in technical coding and technical leadership interviews.
