Responsibilities
- Participate in technology initiatives and projects, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software projects and programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability.
- Review technical assignments, research alternatives, and recommend solutions for low- to medium-risk deliverables.
- Provide technical information to colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.
- Escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements.
- Work in the office according to the organization’s in-office adherence and return-to-office requirements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience with Java backend development and UI development using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React JS.
- Understanding of cloud fundamentals on PCF, Azure, or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with AI-related tools, Copilot, and LLMs, and the ability to adapt quickly to AI technologies.
- Experience with microservice application development, CI/CD and DevOps practices, Jenkins, GitHub, deployment tools, and testing tools.
- Experience creating unit and integration tests with JUnit.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices design principles.
- Hands-on experience building scalable and resilient distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Commitment to software quality and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of application development methodologies.
