Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture for enterprise Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions from concept through production.
- Lead rapid proof-of-concept and MVP development to validate use cases and reduce technical risk.
- Architect AI platforms using LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
- Design API-first architectures using REST and GraphQL for downstream applications and enterprise systems.
- Define technology selections, architecture standards, prompt engineering practices, model evaluation, AI governance, and Responsible AI practices.
- Guide MLOps and LLMOps practices for deployment, monitoring, and model and agent lifecycle management.
- Lead architecture reviews, present designs to executives and engineers, and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Mentor AI engineers and establish coding and architecture standards.
- Evaluate and select cloud-native AI services based on scalability, cost, security, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of overall IT experience spanning software engineering, cloud architecture, and/or AI/ML.
- At least 3 years of hands-on architecture experience specifically in Generative AI or Agentic AI systems.
- Strong expertise in Python and modern AI development frameworks.
- Experience architecting LLM solutions using technologies such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama, or open-weight models.
- Deep understanding of RAG architectures, vector databases, and embedding models.
- Experience architecting on at least one major cloud platform, including native AI services.
- Experience with MLOps/LLMOps, containerization, observability, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strong grounding in AI governance, security, compliance, and Responsible AI practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present architecture to executives and engineers.
- Experience with state management and persistent memory for long-running autonomous agents is preferred.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol and emerging AI agent ecosystems is preferred.
- Experience with AI observability and evaluation tooling such as LangSmith, Ragas, Langfuse, or custom evaluation harnesses is preferred.
- Prior consulting, client-facing, or forward-deployed architecture experience is preferred.
- Relevant cloud certifications are preferred.
- Experience with NL-to-SQL, knowledge graphs, or GraphRAG-style architecture is preferred.
- Healthcare distribution, specialty pharma data, or healthcare EMR/EHR systems experience, including HL7, FHIR, claims, or NDC-level data, is preferred.
