Responsibilities
- Establish test plans, approaches, and automation strategies for features, projects, and services.
- Design and implement automated integration, workflow, system, end-to-end, and performance tests.
- Coordinate and execute release and deployment activities while ensuring code changes are thoroughly tested.
- Partner with developers to improve application testability and participate in peer code reviews.
- Lead test automation projects, architecture improvements, refactoring, and reliability initiatives.
- Mentor new and junior team members and potentially supervise others or lead small to moderate projects.
- Evaluate and introduce new testing, automation, and release-management tools and approaches.
- Communicate QA and test automation best practices to the broader team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant experience.
- 4+ years of testing or quality engineering experience in the software domain.
- Knowledge of computer science concepts, object-oriented programming, and technologies such as Python or Java.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks including Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, QA Robot, and RestAssured.
- Comfort with SQL and writing SQL queries, plus exposure to RESTful APIs and tools such as Postman or Curl.
- Some experience with load and performance testing.
- Experience working in Scrum/Agile and DevOps environments.
- Experience with CI/CD, build, package, configuration, and release management tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab, or GitHub.
- Knowledge or experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and infrastructure as code.
- Exposure to observability tools such as Grafana, OpenSearch, Coralogix, or Datadog.
- Test Lead or management experience is a bonus.
