Responsibilities
- Design and build reusable, high-quality frontend components across Faire’s web surfaces.
- Champion accessibility and performance best practices for shared components.
- Establish and maintain testing strategies and quality gates for the design system.
- Partner with engineers across the company to drive adoption and evolve the shared system.
- Contribute to the technical direction of frontend architecture.
- Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate the design process.
- Mentor engineers, participate in design and code reviews, and raise frontend engineering quality.
- Lead technical projects from conception through execution and influence technical direction beyond the immediate team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience building or maintaining a design system, component library, or shared UI platform used by multiple product teams.
- Strong understanding of WCAG accessibility standards.
- Experience collaborating with Product Design and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to lead technical projects and influence technical direction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
