Base Salary

$57k - $109k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, integrate, and maintain software for aircraft embedded applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Solve complex technical system and software integration problems and design solutions with end-user and operational needs in mind.
  • Collaborate daily with software engineers, systems engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support military and commercial programs from requirements and design through development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Develop software drivers, work with computer hardware interfaces and data protocols, and troubleshoot implementations using debugging tools.

Requirements

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
  • Experience developing and testing software using C, C++, C#, Java, or closely related languages.
  • Experience developing software in a Windows environment and working with Shell, Perl, Python, or another scripting language.
  • Understanding of software systems design, integration, and management, with strong analytical and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, and an active and existing Secret DoD security clearance is required after day one.
  • Preferred experience includes RTOS, Unix/Linux, embedded avionics and displays, real-time optimization, timing analysis, software drivers, hardware interfaces, debugging tools, requirements development, configuration management, Git, Agile development with Azure DevOps, parallel programming, and DO-178C DAL C processes.
