Base Salary
$57k - $109k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, integrate, and maintain software for aircraft embedded applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Support military and commercial programs from concept and requirements through design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
- Design solutions for complex technical system and software integration problems in collaboration with software and systems engineers.
- Work with end-user and operational requirements as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop software for avionics systems interfacing with displays, navigation, and mission planning.
- Develop and integrate software drivers for computer hardware interfaces and troubleshoot implementations using debugging tools.
Requirements
- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Requires experience developing and testing software using C, C++, C#, Java, or closely related languages.
- Requires software development experience in a Windows environment and working knowledge of Shell, Perl, Python, or another scripting language.
- Requires understanding of software systems design, integration, and management.
- Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
- Requires United States citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance; an active and existing DoD Secret clearance is required after day one.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with RTOS platforms, Unix/Linux, embedded avionics and displays, software optimization, timing analysis, hardware interfaces, data protocols, debugging, requirements development, configuration management, Git, Agile development with Azure DevOps, parallel programming, and DO-178C DAL C processes.
