Base Salary

$57k - $109k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test software for aircraft embedded applications in a Windows environment.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Solve complex technical system and software integration problems with software and systems engineers.
  • Work with avionics systems including displays, navigation, and mission planning.
  • Use software debugging tools to troubleshoot implementations and ensure product integrity.
  • Apply software systems design, integration, management, design patterns, and configuration management practices.
  • Support military and commercial aerospace programs as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Developing software using C, C++, C#, Java, or closely related languages.
  • Developing WPF applications and working with UI architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or MVP.
  • Understanding of software systems design, integration, management, and creational, structural, and behavioral design patterns.
  • Proficiency with software debugging tools and working knowledge of software configuration management principles, environments, and tools such as Git.
  • Ability to work closely with a multidisciplinary team and strong analytical skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; an active and existing Secret clearance is required after day one.
  • Preferred: experience with Shell, Perl, or Python; Unix/Linux; software requirements development; MagicDraw, Cameo, or similar UML/SysML tools; automated software testing; VB6, VBA, or VB.NET; Agile development with Azure DevOps; and DO-178C processes.
