Responsibilities
- Build highly available and scalable services, data models, and APIs for offensive cyber products.
- Integrate cyber tools and products into Lattice through custom SDKs and integrations.
- Design distributed software systems operating across degraded, intermittent, and contested networks.
- Work with program teams and customers to deploy and use software for real missions.
- Debug across the full stack, including logs, networking, interfaces, configuration, and hardware/software boundaries.
- Incorporate AI/LLM-enabled workflow features when they improve analyst or operator effectiveness.
- Contribute to technical leadership, software architecture, documentation, maintainability, and the Lattice platform core.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing, building, and operating production software.
- Strong software engineering experience with one or more of C, C++, Python, Go, Rust, or modern TypeScript/React application development.
- Practical experience with Linux and containerized deployment.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering teams and translate ambiguous requirements into clean software interfaces.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reviews and architecture discussions.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Washington, DC or Orange County, CA metro areas.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- US security-clearance eligibility.
- Preferred: offensive or defensive cyber experience, AI/LLM integration exposure, TypeScript and React frontend experience, technical leadership or productization experience, customer-facing engineering experience, constrained-environment delivery experience, or an active US security clearance.
