Responsibilities
- Support and expand AWS cloud infrastructure, monitoring and alerting frameworks, onboarding, and migration projects.
- Provide business-as-usual production support and resolve issues identified through monitoring or user reports.
- Develop Terraform, Python, and Unix shell scripts to automate operational tasks and streamline processes.
- Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform using best practices.
- Write database queries and perform database management, including work with document-oriented databases and AWS storage solutions.
- Configure Grafana, PagerDuty, and Splunk monitoring and logging solutions, respond to incidents, and ensure system health.
- Collaborate with software development, DevOps, QA, and business teams to improve reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Occasionally participate in weekend production releases or deployments and coordinate handovers across European and Asian time zones.
Requirements
- 7–15 years of relevant DevOps and software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with relevant certifications.
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies, GitHub, Terraform, and software delivery pipelines.
- Familiarity with databases, database queries, scripting or coding, and preferably document-oriented databases.
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as PagerDuty and Splunk.
- Knowledge of Linux, networking, AWS routing, DNS, load balancing, IAM, and security groups.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, proactive issue resolution, independence, and the ability to drive group improvement projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and business audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or comparable AWS certification, enterprise container platform certification, and Amazon DocumentDB or comparable managed document-oriented database experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise cloud environments with formal security, governance, incident management, and change-control requirements is preferred.
