Responsibilities

Build the platform and production path for AI applications and agents, from prototype through deployment and operation.
Select and integrate LLM gateways, container runtimes, workflow and agent orchestration, observability, and cost-tracking components.
Establish Snowflake as the context layer for operational data and future ontological knowledge.
Integrate agents with backend systems through APIs, MCP, gateways, and CLI interfaces where appropriate.
Implement end-to-end prompt, tool-use, cost, evaluation, and lineage telemetry.
Build security platform features including machine identities, permissions, prompt-injection guardrails, secret management, and audit trails.

Experience as a software engineer or, ideally, a platform engineer.
Hands-on experience with AWS and data engineering, ideally including Snowflake.
Experience running LLM-based applications in production or closely supporting production deployments.
Understanding of agent tool use, context engineering, evaluation, and observability.
Ability to make decisions independently and explain reasoning clearly.
Regular use of AI in personal work.
The role is not intended for pure data scientists, exclusively ML engineers, pure DevOps engineers, or Java developers seeking to add limited AI work.
