Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain internal business applications end-to-end from data models and architecture through user interfaces.
- Evolve prototypes, dashboards, automations, and tools into secure, reliable, and maintainable production applications.
- Build applications with TypeScript/JavaScript, React/Next.js, Node.js, Vercel, Supabase, and Firebase.
- Integrate AI capabilities, LLM APIs, automation, and agents into business workflows.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate business problems into practical technical solutions.
- Own the full application lifecycle, including development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and iteration.
- Implement authentication, SSO, identity management, and appropriate security and data protection controls.
- Build integrations between internal systems, data sources, and third-party platforms.
- Use feedback and usage data to improve applications and evaluate emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the wider product engineering team when capacity allows.
Requirements
- Demonstrable in-depth professional software engineering experience, ideally in a Full Stack role.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web development.
- Hands-on experience with React/Next.js and Node.js.
- Experience deploying applications with Vercel, Supabase, Firebase, or equivalent modern technologies.
- Experience owning applications through deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and ongoing improvement.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM services into applications and using modern AI development tooling.
- Experience with authentication and identity management such as OAuth/OIDC, SAML, or SSO.
- Understanding of application security and handling sensitive business and user data appropriately.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, maintainable code, testing, and sound development practices.
- Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders, operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and take ownership.
- Startup, scale-up, or modern technology experience is valuable; Postgres/SQL, row-level security, data visualization, reporting, and workflow automation experience are also beneficial.
