Responsibilities
- Build and refine controls that protect customer accounts from account takeovers, scams, and financial crime.
- Develop scalable web applications and customer-facing controls in a full-stack capacity.
- Design and operate CI/CD pipelines and distributed, concurrent systems.
- Partner with Product, Design, data scientists, data analysts, and Investigations to improve detection capabilities.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and resilient schema design.
- Own projects independently, make data-driven decisions, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages and the Spring framework.
- Experience building and designing scalable web applications handling large amounts of traffic, ideally with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, and concurrent systems.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and resilient schemas.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, problem-solving ability, Test Driven Development, and coding practices.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts across teams.
- Experience mentoring and developing more junior engineers.
- Preferred: familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle, including data pipelines, feature engineering, and deploying ML systems into production.
