Responsibilities
- Define user story acceptance criteria with Product Owners and Business Analysts.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to improve automated test coverage and prevent production defects.
- Analyze software systems and design holistic, risk-based testing strategies.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and reusable test suites.
- Design and execute functional, regression, exploratory, performance, integration, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Maintain regression and smoke test suites in QA nightly builds and development CI environments.
- Lead system integration testing and coordinate UAT with stakeholders.
- Manage defects, test artifacts, and test repositories.
- Drive continuous improvement in agile testing practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Support application performance or application security testing as a secondary responsibility.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of test automation strategies, risk-based testing, test cases, test plans, and test suites.
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and API services.
- Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive UI testing.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, Cypress, SikuliX, or EggPlant.
- Programming and test scripting experience using Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
- Understanding of agile testing practices, including TDD, BDD, exploratory testing, shift-left testing, and agile development environments.
- Experience with containerized testing in Docker or Kubernetes environments.
- Performance testing experience with tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust is advantageous.
- Application security testing experience with OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, SAST, or DAST is advantageous.
- Experience conducting API security testing using OAuth or JWT is advantageous.
- Experience managing defects and test repositories with JIRA, TestRail, or Micro Focus ALM, including QC/Sprinter.
- CSTP and/or CSQA certification is advantageous.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
