Responsibilities
- Define the technical direction of core payment domains beyond feature development.
- Design, implement, and evolve highly reliable fintech systems that handle large-scale traffic.
- Own the stability, scalability, security, and performance of core payment services including Coupay.
- Identify complex technical challenges and develop fundamental solutions to improve payment speed and safety.
- Lead the architecture of payment back-office, settlement, and reconciliation platforms.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, and other Fintech engineering teams.
- Improve operational stability and elevate the organization’s technical standards through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems using Java or Kotlin and the Spring Framework.
- Experience taking technical ownership of complex services or domains and proactively driving improvements.
- Ability to design systems with strong attention to performance, reliability, data consistency, and security.
- Experience structuring ambiguous problems and making technical decisions that produce tangible business impact.
- Ability to translate customer experience and business requirements into well-architected technical solutions.
- Preferred: experience leading architecture design and migration in JPA- and MSA-based environments.
- Preferred: payment or fintech development and operations experience.
- Preferred: high-traffic incident response, monitoring, and SLA improvement experience.
- Preferred: large-scale data processing experience with strong settlement and reconciliation accuracy.
- Preferred: technical leadership in agile software development environments.
- Preferred: experience influencing engineers through technical judgment and system design decisions.
