Base Salary
$121k - $143k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-quality software for critical nuclear energy applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Integrate software with hardware, control systems, physical systems, and external interfaces.
- Implement rigorous testing, debugging, documentation, and quality assurance practices for regulatory compliance.
- Identify and resolve complex performance issues in demanding operating environments.
- Drive challenging technical solutions from concept through deployment.
- Create and maintain design specifications, architecture diagrams, and testing protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- At least 4 years of progressive software development experience.
- Experience developing software for highly regulated, safety-critical, or mission-critical industries; direct nuclear experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in one or more of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with full software development life cycles, software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
- Expertise designing and implementing complex software architectures.
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles and testing methodologies.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot intricate software systems.
- Preferred experience with offline-capable, air-gapped, disconnected, constrained, or containerized applications.
- Preferred experience integrating third-party physical security systems and applying AI features or ML models to production workflows.
- Exposure to nuclear, critical infrastructure, defense, or physical security domains is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
