Responsibilities
- Implement and support improvements that increase efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins.
- Manage containerized environments with Kubernetes and Helm.
- Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform on AWS.
- Write Python automation scripts and support Java and Maven build processes.
- Use monitoring tools to support system reliability and performance.
- Translate stakeholder and business requirements into technical implementations.
- Act as a business subject-matter expert and facilitate the transfer of business knowledge.
- Negotiate with and influence stakeholders to ensure services operate effectively.
- Define and promote DevOps best practices, automation, proactive monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud computing practices.
- Practical experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
- Experience with Python scripting and automation.
- Experience with multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with schema change management tools such as Liquibase.
- Experience with Java programming and Maven build processes.
- Understanding of GitOps principles and container orchestration.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
