Senior Clinical Programmer (Rave)

Responsibilities
- Design, write, validate, and maintain clinical programming software using Medidata Rave, Oracle systems, SAS, and supporting tools.
- Develop specifications, programs, validation documentation, database builds, eCRFs, coding configurations, edit checks, migrations, imports, exports, listings, and custom reports.
- Lead clinical programming activities for three to ten concurrent studies and coordinate development work across project teams.
- Provide application administration, technical support, system integration, application updates, user acceptance testing, and second-tier help desk support.
- Perform senior reviews of study-level, program-level, and multi-study core deliverables for accuracy and quality.
- Support sponsor audits, monitor scope and budgets, prepare and manage change orders, and escalate delivery, resourcing, or project risks.
- Provide leadership, training, guidance, and technical support to clinical programmers, project analysts, data managers, and other department members.
- Collaborate with clients, programmers, project teams, and requestors to clarify specifications and meet changing project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in clinical programming.
- End-to-end clinical programming experience in Rave, including study/database build, eCRF build, edit-check programming, migrations, and Custom Functions.
- At least two years of Custom Function experience.
- Study-leading experience, including amendments and publishing checks and migrations.
- Ability to interpret protocols is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with sponsors and internal customers at all levels, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrix-structured environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, email, and voicemail.
- Experience with PL/SQL, SAS, C#, or VB is preferred.
- Ability to travel as necessary, up to 25%.
