Responsibilities

Serve as the engineering interface across customer-facing teams, Analytics, Product, and Engineering.
Investigate and resolve complex application, API, platform, and data pipeline issues.
Monitor data pipeline executions, diagnose failures, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and standardize operational tools and interfaces for analytical and operational use cases.
Improve platform reliability, efficiency, monitoring, logging, and observability through operational best practices and automation.
Collaborate with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Analysts, and Product teams on scalable platform solutions.
Participate in production incident management, root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
4+ years of professional software engineering or platform engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in Java and hands-on experience debugging Java applications in production.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex issues across multiple systems.
Proficiency writing and optimizing SQL queries and working with large-scale datasets.
Experience with distributed data pipelines, high-volume data processing systems, and production applications in L2/L3 Product Support or Technical Support environments.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
Understanding of software engineering principles, application monitoring, logging, and incident management practices.
Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and globally distributed teams.
Preferred experience includes UI troubleshooting, browser-based debugging, Python automation, Apache ecosystem technologies, and analytical databases such as BigQuery or ClickHouse.
Ability to take ownership, drive continuous improvement, learn new technologies quickly, and work a rotational EST shift.
