Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, and deploy Appian applications using Appian best practices.
Build and maintain process models, SAIL interfaces, record types, reports, dashboards, business rules, expression rules, and integrations.
Develop reusable components and frameworks, conduct code reviews, and maintain development standards.
Participate in solution design and technical architecture reviews and translate business requirements into scalable workflow automation solutions.
Design integrations with enterprise applications and databases, optimize queries and data models, and ensure secure data exchange.
Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, effort estimation, and release planning.
Support CI/CD and DevOps practices for Appian deployments.
Support testing, troubleshoot application defects and production issues, and maintain technical documentation.
Analyze and resolve incidents and service requests, participate in root cause analysis, monitor application health, and support releases and post-production validation.
Mentor junior developers and share Appian best practices and development standards.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
6 to 8 years of software development experience.
At least 4 years of hands-on Appian development experience.
Strong knowledge of BPM concepts, workflow automation, Appian application development, process modeling, SAIL, record types, expression rules, integration objects, and data management.
Experience with Appian 22.x, 23.x, or later versions.
Strong SQL and database development skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
Appian Certified Senior Developer certification is preferred.
Appian Certified Lead Developer certification is beneficial.
Experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, or other regulated industries is beneficial.
Experience with on-premises or cloud deployments, Appian administration, CI/CD tools, and automated deployment pipelines is beneficial.
