Software engineer - Infotainment tester with Python

- Design, develop, and execute test cases for automotive infotainment systems.
- Develop and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate multimedia, connectivity, navigation, HMI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and voice features.
- Create test plans and strategies from software requirements.
- Debug issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions with development teams.
- Execute test campaigns on hardware platforms and simulators.
- Track and manage defects using defect-management tools.
- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Produce test reports, quality metrics, and release sign-off documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in automotive infotainment testing.
- Strong Python programming and test-automation experience.
- Experience validating media, connectivity, navigation, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice, and HMI features.
- Experience with CAN, LIN, or Ethernet automotive communication protocols.
- Knowledge of Linux and Android-based infotainment platforms.
- Experience with test-management and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Preferred experience with Robot Framework, PyTest, CANoe, CANalyzer, Vector tools, ASPICE, CI/CD automation integration, embedded systems, OTA testing, ISO 26262, and automotive cybersecurity concepts.
