Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a custom double-entry ledger to account for every cent across the platform.
- Design and scale lending infrastructure covering credit disbursements and automated loan lifecycle management.
- Build reliable integrations with payment gateways and banking partners and support seamless reconciliation.
- Create transparent, secure, high-trust user interfaces for payments and lending.
- Balance rapid feature delivery with the correctness requirements of financial systems.
- Support the team through code reviews, technical documentation, and mentorship.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with a heavy focus on backend systems using Python, Postgres, and AWS, plus experience building modern frontends with React and TypeScript.
- Experience in fintech or payments, including work with ledgers, payment processors, or lending products.
- Expertise in SQL and relational database design, including writing transactions that remain reliable under load.
- Track record of taking complex financial features from technical design through polished production UI.
- Experience with distributed systems, credit or risk modeling, or the alternative-asset space is a bonus.
