Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack software with emphasis on APIs, backend services, Kafka, and microservices.
- Build real-time streaming and event-processing solutions using Kafka or similar technologies.
- Develop automation for Change Data Capture and data synchronization pipelines using JSON-based services.
- Own work across the software development lifecycle and participate in team ceremonies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver maintainable software.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in computer science or a related field.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience developing applications or microservices with Java, Python, and Kafka.
- At least 3 years of hands-on REST API development experience.
- Proficiency with backend languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs, using Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms, and implementing Change Data Capture strategies.
- Experience with JSON, XML, relational or NoSQL databases, Unix/Linux environments, scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools such as Git.
- Preferred experience includes PeopleSoft, EBS, SAP, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, React, Angular, Vue.js, JIRA, Confluence, and large-scale transaction or payments systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, ownership, problem-solving, and technical delivery skills.
