Base Salary
$165k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java microservices with a strong emphasis on geospatial functionality.
- Build geospatial analysis, ETL, and visualization services for mission-focused systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software solutions.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of geospatial features in alignment with architecture and mission objectives.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize them for geospatial data.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members.
- Support cloud-based development, deployment, containerization, and orchestration activities.
Requirements
- 14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
- In-depth knowledge of Java and associated frameworks including Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Experience with cloud-based development and deployment.
- Strong understanding of database design and optimization for geospatial data.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Leadership experience guiding and mentoring development teams.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a bonus.
- Knowledge of GIS principles and applications is a bonus.
