Base Salary

$165k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java microservices with a strong emphasis on geospatial functionality.
  • Build geospatial analysis, ETL, and visualization services for mission-focused systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software solutions.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of geospatial features in alignment with architecture and mission objectives.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize them for geospatial data.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members.
  • Support cloud-based development, deployment, containerization, and orchestration activities.

Requirements

  • 14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of Java and associated frameworks including Spring Boot and Hibernate.
  • Experience with cloud-based development and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of database design and optimization for geospatial data.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Leadership experience guiding and mentoring development teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of GIS principles and applications is a bonus.
