Base Salary
$130k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable features and network systems in Google Cloud.
- Develop, automate, deploy, manage, and support cloud network and infrastructure services using software engineering and infrastructure-as-code.
- Monitor service health and telemetry, resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
- Lead projects and manage execution, delivery, priorities, objectives, and deadlines.
- Review code, provide technical feedback, and maintain standards for quality, observability, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Build testable infrastructure-as-code and automate testing using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Golang, Jinja, Helm, and design patterns.
- Document features, enhancements, and fixes and contribute to training materials in Confluence, SharePoint, and GitHub.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for incidents.
- Identify opportunities to improve technical processes and contribute to complex infrastructure application development and deployment.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in one or more of Python, Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub.
- At least 5 years of recent experience triaging incidents or product defects in public cloud platforms.
- 8-10+ years of professional software and infrastructure-as-code development experience.
- Extensive experience with software development practices and design patterns.
- Proficiency with GitHub and JIRA.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Any public cloud certification.
- Preferred experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, private and public cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and test automation frameworks.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary leadership skills.
Benefits
- Base pay ranges from $129,500 to $186,100, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus plan and restricted stock unit awards.
