Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the full robotics software stack for an industrial robotic work cell.
- Develop and optimize motion planning, trajectory generation, and closed-loop control algorithms.
- Integrate cameras, force/torque sensors, and LiDAR into real-time robot-control loops.
- Implement industrial safety concepts and fail-safe behaviors.
- Lead on-site testing, calibration, and commissioning of robotic systems.
- Drive architecture decisions and establish engineering best practices across the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on robotics engineering experience with real robot hardware.
- Strong command of kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control theory.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Python for robotics development.
- Hands-on experience integrating vision and force/torque sensors into real-time robot-control loops.
- Experience with industrial or collaborative robot arms and associated end-of-arm tooling.
- Practical experience deploying robotic systems in real production or industrial environments.
- Competence with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
- ROS 2, industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT or OPC-UA, machine vision or 3D perception, and surface finishing, welding, or coating automation are valued or preferred.
Benefits
- Estimated annual cash compensation of EUR 75,000 to EUR 110,000 plus meaningful equity participation.
- On-site work five days per week in Munich, Bavaria, Germany; remote work is not available.
- Visa sponsorship is not available, and candidates must already be eligible to work in Germany.
