Base Salary
$155k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to understand their businesses, workflows, bottlenecks, and leverage points.
- Define AI-driven solutions based on real business needs.
- Build and deploy production-grade agents tailored to customer use cases and own end-to-end delivery.
- Design and run evaluations, then iterate to improve agent performance.
- Develop customer-vertical expertise to improve AI solutions over time.
- Collaborate with Product and Platform engineers to ship cohesive, reliable solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, agent patterns, and reusable frameworks for scalable, high-quality output.
- Surface deployment insights that inform Handshake’s platform and product roadmap.
Requirements
- Strong applied AI engineering experience and backend depth.
- Real-world experience building and shipping AI applications in production rather than only fine-tuning or prototyping.
- Strong understanding of agent architectures, evaluations, and systematic AI performance improvement.
- Ability to work directly with enterprise customers in ambiguous, high-stakes environments.
- Strong systems thinking across business problems and technical solutions.
- High ownership mentality and focus on outcomes.
- Strong communication skills for working with senior stakeholders.
- Experience with forward deployment or field engineering models is a plus.
- Production experience building multi-agent systems is a plus.
- Domain expertise in an enterprise vertical such as recruiting, finance, operations, or legal is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise security requirements, VPC deployments, or on-premises configurations is a plus.
- Experience building evaluation infrastructure or AI quality measurement tooling is a plus.
