Responsibilities
- Investigate complex reliability, performance, and data-quality issues across platform services, APIs, and customer workflows.
- Design, build, and maintain AI-driven automation, services, scripts, and internal web tools.
- Write production-quality code, implement fixes, improve monitoring and alerting, and contribute to shared libraries and tooling.
- Perform root-cause analysis and complete post-incident action items in partnership with engineering teams.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests and participate in release-readiness activities.
- Communicate investigation status and actionable guidance during live-site events.
- Analyze escalation trends, propose engineering solutions, and influence product roadmaps.
- Create knowledge-base content, build self-service troubleshooting experiences, and mentor others on debugging tools and techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, or industrial controls.
- Strong coding skills in at least one of C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript, with the ability to write maintainable and testable code.
- Experience building automation or services that integrate with APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on debugging experience using logs, metrics, and traces in live-site or production environments.
- Daily experience using AI-based coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools while validating correctness, security, and performance.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
