Base Salary
$117k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software in C/C++ and Rust for encrypted communications and cryptographic systems.
- Develop and modify Linux kernel drivers and work with bare-metal embedded device drivers.
- Build standalone embedded applications and support embedded Linux environments.
- Work with microprocessors and embedded processors such as NIOS, ARM, and RISC-V.
- Implement and support networking capabilities using TCP/IP and protocols including IPSec, MACsec, and TLS.
- Develop in Python and contribute to RESTConf interface design and implementation.
- Collaborate with system, test, hardware, and other multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Plan, track, and report on project progress.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of embedded software design and implementation experience in C/C++.
- At least 1 year of Linux OS experience, ideally in an embedded environment.
- Familiarity with Linux kernel driver development or modification and object-oriented software development.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and common network configuration.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field.
- US citizenship and an active SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Rust experience is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with bare-metal device drivers, NIOS, ARM, RISC-V, RESTConf, emulation environments, IPSec, MACsec, TLS, Python, standalone embedded applications, and multidisciplinary teams.
