Base Salary
$185k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build functional prototypes and product experiments directly in the Thunderbolt codebase.
- Translate ambiguous product ideas and user workflows into clear, usable product experiences.
- Define interaction patterns for AI-powered features like chat and workflow automation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to enhance prototyping and implementation.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to refine product direction.
- Contribute production-quality front-end code as needed.
- Identify when prototypes should be refined or discarded.
- Improve usability, accessibility, and consistency of the user experience.
- Develop reusable components and design-system elements for the product team.
- Bring a user-centered perspective to technical discussions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in design engineering, front-end engineering, or product design.
- Strong front-end engineering skills with modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience designing AI-enabled product experiences with a focus on user trust.
- Ability to translate ambiguous concepts into usable workflows and prototypes.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring within teams.
- Practical awareness of AI, privacy, and security considerations in product design.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Portfolio demonstrating design-to-code execution and product improvements.
