Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the Product Manager during daily standups to discuss sprint progress and remove roadblocks.
- Write Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, or Python code to add functionality to the platform.
- Build event-driven microservices using serverless technologies and RESTful Spring Boot APIs.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using AWS services including Lambda, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, and Kinesis Firehose.
- Model complex product data and work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and other data stores.
- Pair with engineers, author architecture decision records, participate in whiteboarding sessions, and contribute to engineering learning sessions.
- Meet regularly with the manager to discuss performance and professional development.
Requirements
- Strong backend object-oriented programming fundamentals with proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with RESTful API integration and microservices architecture.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work across technology teams and the business.
- Sound software development lifecycle skills, preferably in an agile environment.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
